In 1911, the first Montessori school opened in the United States. Now, 109 years later we celebrate Montessori education week here at Canton Montessori School. The last week of February is dedicated to the celebration of Maria Montessori, following the needs and abilities of a child, using scientifically developed multi-sensory materials, guiding students in peace and conflict resolution, and sparking a love of learning.
